- Urad Daal ( Black Gram )
- Fenugreek Seeds
- Flaked rice
To 1 cup of rice add 1/2 cup of daal and 5 fenugreek seeds, 1 tbsp of flaked rice, wash it and soak it for 4 fours and blend it into fine course batter and let it get fermented.
Once the batter got fermented add some salt to it. Heat a tsp of oil in a pan and add 1 spoon full of batter to pan and don’t spread it with spoon, let it spread it by itself.
Batter should be thick in consistency so that you can get pan cakes as you can see above. As it got fermented you can see small holes here and there, this is to indicate that your batter is perfectly fermented.
Now let it fry until nice golden brown in colour
Turn to other side and fry that side too, if you want you can add ghee also to it . Once its done it will look as below picture.
It goes very well with coconut chutney & Tomato Chutney.
