Khatta Dokla


  1. Dosa Batter
  2. Eno Fruit Salt
  3. Salt
  4. Ginger & Green chilli paste
  5. Chilli Flakes
  6. Citric Acid
  7. Curd
  8. Oil


  1. Oil
  2. Sesame Seeds
  3. Green chillies
  4. Mustard seeds
  5. Grated Coconut ( optional )
  6. Coriander Leaves
  7. Curry Leaves


Step 1.

For Dosa batter take 1 cup of rice & 1 cup of urad daal should be washed and soaked for 4 to 6 hrs and then bleanded to soft batter and get it fermented, then your dosa batter will be ready. In this batter add salt, 1/2 tsp of ginger and green chilli paste, 1/2 tsp of citric acid dissolved in water, 2 tbsp of curd, 2 tbsp of oil and mix it well. Then we need to add 1 tsp of eno and mix it well and soon transfer it to a greased pan and sprinkle some chilli flakes.

Step 2.

Now steam this batter for 15 to 20 mins and let it cool.

you can see in the pic it comes out perfectly, once cooled then you need to cut into diamond shape or any other shape you wish like.

Step 3.

For Tadka add oil to a pan and add 1/2 tsp of mustard seeds, Green chillies, Sesame seeds, Curry leaves and let it fry then add this tadka to dokla and spread it overall then sprinkle grated coconut and coriander leaves. Now your khatta dokla is ready .
