Steamed Chinese Buns


  1. Maida
  2. yeast
  3. sugar
  4. salt
  5. oil
  6. Milk

For stuffing.

  1. Cabbage
  2. Carrots
  3. Onions
  4. Chillies
  5. Salt
  6. Ginger
  7. Chilli flakes
  8. Oil
  9. Saya sauce
  10. Vinegar


Step 1.

Take a small cup of warm milk and add 1tsp of sugar and 1tsp of yeast and mix well and let it sit for 15 mins in warm place.

Step 2.

Take a cup of maida and 1/2 tsp of salt and 2tbsp of oil and mix it well. After 15 mins we will see that yeast gets activated , now knead maida with activated yeast and knead it for 10 to 15 mins and cover with lid and keep it in warm place for 2 hrs.

Step 3.

For stuffing mix all finely shopped veggies in a bowl and add salt ,soya sauce, vinegar , grated ginger, chillies, chilli flakes and mix well and keep it a side.

Step 4.

After 2 hours we see that our dough will be raised and kneed it with extra flour and cut it intlo small balls and make small size puri and stuff 2 tsp of stuffing in it and fold it into shapes u like ans steam it for 15 mins . after that off the stove and dont open lid for 10 mins untill it cools then u can serve hot with tomato ketchup. you can see spongy buns r ready to eat. enjoy…
