Wash one cup of Daal in pressure cooker and add 2 cups of water,1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of G & G paste, 1 medium size raw mango cut into chunks or you can grate it.
Few curry leaves, coriander, small size onion chunks, salt to taste, 1 tsp of chilli powder, 3 Green chilli’s and pressure cook it for 3 whistles.
Now its time for tadka heat 3 tbsp of oil in a pan, add 1/4 mustard seeds after seeds start crackling then add 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds, 3 red chilli’s, 4 curry leaves and 1 clove of garlic crushed and a pinch of turmeric.
By this time pressure will come down, remove it & mash the daal and add this tadka to daal and let it come to boil and simmer it for few minutes as you can see in the picture above.
Now daal is done, its ready to serve with hot steamed rice, ghee in it and pickle. This is mango flavoured daal.
