Black Eye Beans Fry (Alasandhala Fry, Lobia Fry )



  1. Black eyebeans ( Lobia, alasandhalu )
  2. Onions
  3. Green chilli’s
  4. Cumin Seeds
  5. Mustard Seeds
  6. Turmeric
  7. Ginger & Garlic Paste
  8. Green Chilli’s
  9. Chilli Powder
  10. Coriander Powder
  11. Chaat Masala
  12. Amchur Powder
  13. Lemon Juice
  14. Salt
  15. Oil



Step 1.



Wash 1 cup of Black eye beans, soak it  over night and boil it with salt and keep it aside.




Step 2.

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add 1/4 tsp of mustard seeds once it crackles add 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds. Then add 2 tbsp of finely chopped onions and 3 to 4 green chilli’s.

Step 3.

Once it turns slightly brown in colour,add 1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of G & G paste 1/4 tsp of chilli powder and add boiled beans to it and give a quick stir.

Step 4.

Now add 1/2 tsp of amchur powder, 1/4 tsp of chaat masala, 1/4 tsp of coriander powder and mix it well and let it fry for few more minutes.

Step 5.



Beans are ready to serve, serve it with finely chopped onion, coriander & lemon juice on it as you can see on the picture.
