Chole Bhature ( Chole )



  1. Garbanzo Beans ( Chole Chana )
  2. Tomatoes
  3. Potatoes
  4. Onions
  5. Garlic
  6. Chilli Powder
  7. Turmeric
  8. Chole Masala
  9. Coriander
  10. Cumin seeds
  11. Salt
  12. Oil


Step 1.

Wash 1 Cup of Garbanzo beans, soak it over night and boil it with some salt and keep it aside. You can boil  medium size potato along with beans.

Step 2.

Take 1/2 cup tomatoes, 1/2 cup onions and 1 tsp of fresh garlic and put it in mixer, make a paste and keep it aside as you can see in the picture below.


Step 3.

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add 1/4 tsp of cumin seeds and let them crackle, then add the above paste and cook until oil leaves out of the gravy, this is the indication that  the paste is cooked.

Step 4.


Now add 1/2 tsp of turmeric, 1 1/2 tsp of chilli powder and mix it well, then add boiled potatoes and fry them for a while.

Step 5.

Then add 2 tsp of chole masala, salt to taste and cook for a minute then add garbanzo beans and mix well, at this point you can add some water if necessary and let that come to boil.

Step 6.


Once it comes to boil then garnish it with coriander and serve it hot with  bhature or else Puri as it goes very well with it.
