- Bottle Gourd ( sorakaya )
- Ginger & Garlic Paste
- Chilli Powder
- Coriander Powder
Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pressure cooker, add 1 finely chopped onion and fry, then add 1/4 tsp of turmeric, 1/2 tsp of G & G paste and give a quick stir.
Now add 1 medium size Bottle Gourd chopped into small cubes and mix it well and let it cook in oil for a while.
Now add 1/2 cup of tomatoes, 1 1/2 tsp of chilli powder, salt to taste, mix it well and cook it for few minutes.
At this stage add 1/2 cup of water and close the cooker lid and pressure cook it for only 1 whistle so that it wont mash up.
Once the pressure goes down place it again on heat, add 1/2 tsp of coriander powder and soon it come to boil,garnish it with coriander and serve it hot with chapathis and rice.
Enjoy with chapathis or rice………
