Sweet with wheat flour (Thadukala pasham)

Ingredients

  1. Wheat flour (Godhuma Pindi)
  2. Sugar
  3. Milk
  4. Cashew nuts (kaju)
  5. Almonds (Badam)
  6. elaichi Powder
  7. Pista
  8. Ghee

Preparation

Step 1.

Take 2 tbsp of wheat flour and knead into dough with milk mixed with sugar, so that the dough becomes sweet.

                                         Now roll the sweet dough into long string as  seen in above picture and divide into 3 inch long and sprinkle  dry flour on it and keep it aside as seen in the picture beside.

 

step 4.

Take a deep pan and add enough water so that sweet strings gets boiled and let them boil, in the mean while we have take 1 cup dry wheat flour and mix it with 3 cups of water like batter without lumps.

Step 5.

When you feel that  sweet strings are boiled enough, add  wheat flour batter and keep it in low flame and let it boil for 10 to 15 mins, for this we need to keep on stirring so that no lumps are formed.

Step 6.

Chop dry fruits into small pieces and fry them in ghee and keep it aside so that we can add it later.

Step 7.

Now add 1 cup of sugar for 1 cup of wheat batter and mix well, it should always cook in low flame, now add  2 tbsp of ghee to sweet and add fried nuts, elaichi powder and stir it, let it cook for more 10mins.

Step 8.

Now your tasty tasty thadukala pasham ready, We usually prepare this for special occasion on our vinayaka chavithi festival.
